The temple is popularly known for its architectural grandeur; Golu Devta Temple, it is dedicated to Golu Devta, a hill deity and another name of Lord Shiva. It also known as the temple of millions bells because devotees hung bells in order to offer prayers or as an act of wishing or thanks giving. Soft tinkling of these bells can be heard from very far.
