Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Park, as its name suggests it houses the famous Musk Deer along with this it has abundance of lush greenery and varieties of such animals which are claimed by locals to have not even been scientifically classified yet. The park is spread over an area of 5 sq. kms.
Besides these places of interest the most popular activity in Chopta is tungnath and Chandrashila trekking. Tungnath is known as the base point of Chopta-Chandrashila Trek. The village is encircled by evergreen forests of pine, deodar and rhododendron at an elevation of 2680 metres. It is considered as the best trek for beginners. This trek covers such a large region which starts from the holy city of Haridwar, then one goes to Devarivatal Lake then Chopta to Tungnath and it finally ends at Chandrashila. The journey offers you picturesque view of Chaukhamba ranges, mesmerising view of the valleys and it also includes the peaks of Panchchuli, Nanda Devi, Nilkanth and Kedarnath.

To reach the town via roadways one can take the route to Rudraprayag and follow it to Kedarnath from there you can drive towards Ukhimath. So, in this way you can also Ukhimath on your way to Chopta.
