Kedartal Trek – High-Altitude Trek to Kedar Tal in Uttarakhand

Kedar Tal trek is a tough trek in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand that takes you to Kedar Tal or the holy glacial lake of Shiva (~4,750 to 4,912 m), which is revered as Shiva's lake. It passes through the dense forests, alpine meadows and rugged moraines under the feeling of giant mountains such as Thalay Sagar, Meru and Bhrigupanth from Gangotri. Trekkers spend the days climbing slowly and methodically towards Bhoj Kharak and Kedar Kharak in the days and a challenging ascent to the emerald lake which is powered by the Kedar Bamak Glacier on the 7th.
