Switchable Glass is redefining how architects and homeowners think about privacy. Instead of relying on curtains, blinds or frosted stickers, Royal Tint's Switchable Glass lets you control transparency at the touch of a button — instantly turning a room from open to private. Built using PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) or PNLC technology, a liquid crystal layer is laminated permanently between two panes of glass during manufacturing. When electricity is applied, the crystals align and the glass turns clear; when the power is cut, they scatter light and the glass becomes frosted. This entire transition happens in a fraction of a second. Because Switchable Glass is manufactured as a single laminated unit, it's especially suited to new construction and major renovations — office partitions, conference rooms, hospital cabins, hotel bathrooms, facades and skylights all benefit from its seamless, hardware-free look.
